Settings
PPE Vending has rich set of configurable options. This section of user manual goes through some of the important options.
Organization Profile Settings
To update Organization profile, please follow visit Organization Information page.
On this page, you could update the following information of the organization,
- Timezone
- Organization Name (editing feature is unavailable, to update organization name please contact Vending on Track support team)
- Organization Logo - This logo is used in employee mobile app (PPE Vending) as well as reporting. Only png and jpeg file formats are supported.
- Organization Contact Details - The contact number for the organization. It’s used by employee to report incident or support request within the organization.
- Job ID Settings - The admin can set whether the employees need to enter their Job ID when they are trying to get an item from the machine. There are several options in the dropdown menu,
- Disabled - no Job ID code
- Enabled - allow Job ID input
- Enforced - require Job ID input
- Strictly Enforced - require Job ID from preconfigured jobs
- Pickup Methods - Each organization can enable or disable pickup methods (also known as authentication method),
- Mobile App recommended
- Key card. Please note, besides MIFARE card, there are other key cards available, like HID cards etc. For details, please contact Vending on Track support team.
- Notification Settings - Low stock notification can be enabled/disabled based on the specific requirements.
- Access Code Configuration - The admin can determine whether to enable Access Code Login for the employees. Upon enabled, specific code formats, including Numeric and Alphanumeric, can be specified.
- ServiceNow (SNOW) integration is available to enterprise clients.
Administrator Management
On Organization Information page, you can update organization’s administrators.
Block Administrator
To disable an administrator, please follow this procedure,
- Visit Organization Information page
- Scroll down to Administrators section
- Find the admin entry that’s going to be blocked
- Click Disable button on that row
Please make sure to not disable the only remaining administrator, as this will lock yourself and only Vending on Track support team would be able to re-enable the account.
Add Administrator/Operator
To “Add a new Administrator/Operator”, please follow this procedure,
- Go to the Organization Information page
- Scroll down to Administrators section.
- Click the Add Role button.
- Enter the name, email.
- Toggle ROLE_ADMIN/ROLE_EMPLOYEE_MANAGEMENT.
- Click “Save” button to finalize the operation.
- The new administrator/operator will receive an email from ppe+support@vendingontrack.com with subject Admin Onboard. This email also includes the initial password. It’s recommended for the new administrator to reset password immediately.
