Employee Management

PPE Vending provides multiple user experiences,

  • PPE Vending Lite - timed access without app
  • PPE Vending (Card) - access control with key cards
    • Barcode & QRCode access card
    • MIFARE access card (CID)
    • HID cards
  • PPE Vending (app) - recommended secure access system

Both App and Card support permanent access, while Lite only supports timed access.

Add New Employee

To add new employee to the organization, please follow this procedure,

  1. Visit Employee Management page
  2. Click Add Employee button on the top right button
  3. Input the critical information,
    • Employee Name
    • Employee Number - this is used to identify employee in other external system. If you need to import transaction into other system, this Employee Number could be used as a reference key.
    • Key Card Number - if the organization is using keycard system, input key card number into this field
    • Primary Email - the main email that the employee uses to login to the system in app setup. It will be the notification email address
    • Secondary Emails - the emails that the employee uses to login to the system
  4. Click Save button to finalize the operation

After this operation, the employee should be visible in Employee Management page. Please note, since this page has pagination, you may need to scroll to the last page to see the newly added employee.

Block an Employee

To block an employee, follow this procedure

  1. Visit Employee Management page
  2. Find the employee entry in the table
    • Search By Name can be handy to search names with partial match
    • Employee Status can be used to filter out blocked employees
  3. Once found the employee entry, click Disable button in the Operation column
  4. Click Confirm button to confirm the operation

Once the operation finishes, the employee’s access to the system is revoked instantly.

Update Employee Information

To update employee information, please follow this procedure,

  1. Visit Employee Management page
  2. Find the employee entry in the table
    • Search By Name can be handy to search names with partial match
    • Employee Status can be used to filter out blocked employees
  3. Once found the employee entry, click Edit Employee button in the Operation column
  4. In the Edit Employee popup window, these attributes can be updated
    • Employee Name
    • Employee Number
    • Key Card Number
    • Email
    • Secondary Emails
  5. After updating, click Save button to finalize the operation.

Once the operation finishes, the employee’s information should be updated instantly.

List the Employees

To list employees, visit Employee Management page. There are filters to help you,

  • Employee Status - filter by employee status
  • Search by Name - search the employee by partial name
